Refund Policy

Clear refund rules based on what was purchased, what work has started, and what has been delivered.

This policy explains how BBC handles refund requests for digital resources, Book Growth Roadmap work, research, outreach, campaign planning, consulting, and custom author visibility engagements.

Digital resources Custom campaigns Written scope first Work stage matters

The basic refund principle

If no work has started and nothing has been delivered, refund options are usually broader. Once research, preparation, outreach, production, or delivery begins, the value of work already completed must be considered.

Different purchases reach different delivery stages.

BBC does not apply the same refund logic to a downloadable PDF and a custom outreach campaign because the work involved is fundamentally different.

Digital Resources

Delivery based

Once a digital resource has been delivered, opened, accessed, or made available for download, refunds are generally not available except where required by applicable law.

Research & Planning

Work stage based

Refund availability depends on whether research, review, planning, writing, analysis, or preparation has already begun.

Custom Campaigns

Scope and delivery based

Where work includes research, outreach, follow ups, content, placement preparation, or other deliverables, completed work is considered before any refund is calculated.

Refund Policy

Effective Date: September 9, 2026

This Refund Policy explains how Brand Builders Connect handles refund requests for digital resources, Book Growth Roadmap work, research, visibility reviews, campaign planning, outreach preparation, outreach execution, content work, consulting, and other custom author visibility services.

Brand Builders Connect operates through P Jones Connect as an online author visibility and book growth agency.

By purchasing a resource or paying for a confirmed BBC engagement through an approved payment channel, you agree to this Refund Policy together with the written scope, payment terms, and other project terms connected to your purchase.

Please verify payment instructions before paying. BBC can review payments sent through approved BBC channels, but cannot guarantee recovery of money voluntarily sent to impersonators, fraudulent accounts, or unverified third parties.

1. Digital products and resources

BBC digital products may include checklists, worksheets, workbooks, planners, guides, bundles, templates, PDFs, and the Author Visibility Starter Kit.

Because digital products may be opened, saved, copied, downloaded, or used immediately after delivery, digital resource purchases are generally non refundable once delivered or accessed.

A refund may be considered before delivery where:

  • Payment was successfully made
  • The resource has not yet been delivered
  • The resource has not been accessed or downloaded
  • No custom work connected to the purchase has begun

Delivery problems are normally handled first by resending the file or providing another approved access method.

2. Book Growth Roadmap, research, and review work

Some BBC engagements involve research and analysis before a visible deliverable is sent.

This may include:

  • Book visibility research
  • Amazon review
  • Goodreads review
  • Reader targeting research
  • Opportunity research
  • Podcast research
  • Community research
  • Reviewer research
  • Association or organization research
  • Institutional opportunity research
  • Campaign planning
  • Outreach angle development
  • Strategic recommendations

Once research or preparation has begun, part of the service value may already have been provided even if the final document or campaign asset has not yet been delivered.

For this reason, a full refund may not be available after research or preparation begins.

3. Custom services and campaigns

BBC custom engagements may include research, author positioning, Amazon work, Goodreads work, outreach research, custom pitching, follow ups, campaign planning, content development, design coordination, reader research, media research, community outreach, book club outreach, podcast outreach, professional organization outreach, or other agreed services.

Refund eligibility for custom services depends on:

  • The written scope
  • The payment structure
  • The date work began
  • Research already completed
  • Deliverables already prepared
  • Outreach already sent
  • Follow ups already completed
  • Content or campaign assets already created
  • Third party costs already incurred
  • Information or materials supplied by the client
  • Any milestones completed under the agreement

A client cancelling after work has begun does not automatically qualify for a full refund.

4. Partial delivery and partial refunds

Some BBC campaigns are delivered in stages.

For example, a custom outreach project may involve:

  • Prospect research
  • Qualification
  • Outreach angle development
  • Pitch writing
  • First outreach
  • Tracking
  • Follow up
  • Response handling or reporting

If a project is cancelled after some stages have been completed, BBC may review whether the unused portion of the payment exceeds the reasonable value of work already completed.

Where appropriate, a partial refund may be considered for the uncompleted portion.

Partial refunds are not calculated solely by dividing the project price by the number of listed deliverables. Research, preparation, strategy, coordination, setup, and earlier campaign stages may require substantially more work than later stages.

5. Work that is generally non refundable

The following are generally non refundable once completed or delivered:

  • Delivered digital resources
  • Completed research
  • Completed Book Growth Roadmaps
  • Completed visibility audits
  • Completed strategy documents
  • Completed prospect research
  • Completed outreach lists
  • Completed custom pitches
  • Outreach already sent
  • Follow ups already sent
  • Campaign assets already produced
  • Completed content work
  • Services delivered according to the written scope
  • Third party costs already committed or incurred

6. Situations where a refund may be considered

A refund may be considered in situations including:

  • A digital resource was paid for but was not delivered and BBC cannot provide replacement access
  • A verified duplicate payment occurred
  • An incorrect amount was charged through an approved BBC payment channel
  • A custom project was paid for but work had not started
  • BBC becomes unable to provide the agreed service before meaningful work begins
  • BBC and the client mutually agree to terminate a project before full delivery
  • A client paid for work that BBC later determines cannot reasonably be provided

Refund requests are reviewed individually based on the purchase type, written agreement, work completed, delivery status, project stage, and payment records.

7. Project cancellation

A client may request cancellation of a custom project by contacting BBC through an official communication channel.

Cancellation does not automatically reverse work already completed.

If work has not started, a broader refund may be available.

If work has already begun, BBC may calculate the reasonable value of research, preparation, production, outreach, coordination, or other completed work before determining whether any unused balance remains refundable.

BBC may also cancel an engagement if continuing the project becomes impractical, unsafe, unlawful, abusive, technically impossible, or inconsistent with the written agreement.

Where BBC cancels a project, any refund review will consider work already delivered and any unused portion of the payment.

8. Digital delivery and access problems

A missing file or delayed delivery does not automatically require a refund if BBC can successfully resend or restore access.

If you did not receive a purchased digital resource, contact BBC with:

  • Your name
  • Email address
  • Resource purchased
  • Payment date
  • Transaction reference
  • Payment confirmation

BBC may resend the file, correct the delivery information, issue a new access method, or investigate the transaction.

9. Third party outcomes are not refund guarantees

Some BBC services involve outreach to independent third parties.

These may include:

  • Podcasts
  • Reviewers
  • Book clubs
  • Goodreads communities
  • Media outlets
  • Associations
  • Organizations
  • Institutions
  • Publishers
  • Influencers
  • Newsletter operators
  • Professional communities

BBC can research, prepare, send, follow up, and manage outreach according to the agreed scope, but BBC cannot control whether a third party replies, accepts, reviews, interviews, features, adopts, purchases, recommends, or collaborates.

Lack of a positive third party outcome does not by itself mean the BBC service was not delivered.

Refund eligibility is based on whether BBC delivered the agreed work, not whether an outside platform, reviewer, podcast, media outlet, community, organization, or institution made the decision the client hoped for.

10. Chargebacks and payment disputes

If you believe there is a billing, delivery, duplicate payment, unauthorized transaction, or service issue, contact BBC before opening a chargeback where practical.

BBC may provide payment records, written scopes, project communication, delivery records, research records, outreach records, files, transaction references, or other relevant documentation to a payment processor or financial institution where necessary to respond to a dispute.

Filing a chargeback does not automatically establish that a service was not delivered.

Where a payment dispute is open, BBC may pause further project work, resource access, delivery, or campaign activity until the issue is resolved.

11. How to request a refund review

To request a refund review, email:

team@brandbuildersconnect.com

Include:

  • Your name
  • Email address used for the purchase
  • Book or project name
  • Product or service purchased
  • Date of payment
  • Amount paid
  • Payment reference or receipt
  • Reason for the request
  • Relevant communication or project information

BBC may request additional information where necessary to verify the payment or understand the project stage.

12. Payment verification and impersonation safety

BBC may use a general Paystack payment page or a dedicated payment page and fixed amount Paystack link for a specific author engagement.

Only verified BBC payments can be reviewed under this Refund Policy.

If you sent money to someone falsely claiming to represent BBC, contact us as soon as possible.

BBC may help verify whether the communication, representative, invoice, or payment page was connected to the agency, but cannot guarantee recovery of money sent outside approved channels.

If a payment request looks unusual, verify it before paying through:

payments@brandbuildersconnect.com

13. Approved refunds

Where a refund is approved, the method and timing may depend on the original payment method, payment processor, bank, card network, and transaction status.

BBC may return an approved refund through the original payment method where technically available or through another agreed method where appropriate.

Bank processing time, card network processing, exchange rate movement, foreign transaction charges, or payment processor delays may affect the final amount or time it takes for a refund to appear.

BBC cannot control processing delays created by banks, card providers, or payment processors after a refund has been successfully initiated.
