Communication Verification Policy
Effective Date: September 9, 2026
This Communication Verification Policy explains how Brand Builders Connect handles official communication, representative verification, custom campaign verification, payment request verification, invoice verification, and suspicious messages claiming to come from BBC.
This policy applies to authors, clients, website visitors, digital resource buyers, campaign clients, prospective clients, and anyone who receives a message claiming to come from Brand Builders Connect.
Before sending payment, sharing sensitive information, accepting an unusual change to your project, or trusting a representative claim, verify the communication through the official Verify Communication page or team@brandbuildersconnect.com.
1. Official communication channels
Brand Builders Connect may communicate through official website forms, approved BBC email addresses, verified business communication channels, and direct replies from members of the BBC team.
Official BBC email communication may include:
- team@brandbuildersconnect.com
- jones@brandbuildersconnect.com
- support@brandbuildersconnect.com
- payments@brandbuildersconnect.com
Members of the BBC team may conduct legitimate outreach or project communication on behalf of the brand. If you want to confirm whether a particular representative is connected to BBC, use the Verify Communication page or contact team@brandbuildersconnect.com.
A message from an unfamiliar email address, marketplace account, social media account, or private number should be verified before payment or disclosure of sensitive information.
2. Official identity
Brand Builders Connect is the public facing author visibility and book growth brand.
Brand Builders Connect operates through P Jones Connect.
P Jones Connect is registered with Nigeria's Corporate Affairs Commission under Business Number 8354973.
BBC operates primarily online and works through a distributed team and network of professionals involved in author strategy, research, outreach, content, digital systems, design, and campaign support.
Seeing the name P Jones Connect on an appropriate payment, business, or verification context does not by itself mean you are dealing with a different organization. Authors may verify the connection through BBC's official website and communication channels.
3. What should be verified
You should verify any communication that includes:
- A payment request
- A Paystack payment link
- A custom author payment page
- An invoice or purchase link
- A claim that someone represents BBC
- A major change to previously agreed deliverables
- A different investment amount from the amount previously discussed
- A request for private author or financial information
- A sudden discount or urgent payment demand
- A request to abandon the existing official conversation
- A promise of guaranteed sales, reviews, rankings, media appearances, or bestseller status
- A suspicious link, file, attachment, wallet, bank instruction, or payment method
4. Payment request verification
Payment instructions should only be accepted through approved BBC channels.
For custom campaigns, BBC aims to confirm the deliverables, project scope, timeline where applicable, investment, and payment structure before payment is requested.
Before paying, confirm that the request matches:
- Your name or project
- Your book or agreed campaign
- The deliverables discussed
- The agreed investment
- Whether the payment is full or partial
- The official BBC payment page or payment instruction provided to you
Do not send payment to an unrelated personal account, suspicious wallet, unknown bank account, or payment page that cannot be connected to your BBC agreement.
5. Custom author payment pages
BBC may create a dedicated payment page for an individual author or custom campaign.
This means the payment link you receive may be different from BBC's general payment page.
A dedicated author payment page may display:
- The author's name
- The project or campaign name
- The agreed deliverables
- The agreed USD investment
- The corresponding amount processed through Paystack
- Whether payment is full or partial
- An individual fixed amount Paystack payment link
The existence of different Paystack links for different projects is therefore not automatically suspicious.
The important question is whether the payment page and amount match your written agreement and can be confirmed through an official BBC channel.
Example: if you agreed to a $250 podcast outreach campaign, the BBC payment page may identify the podcast outreach project, explain the deliverables, show the agreed $250 investment, and connect you to a fixed amount Paystack link created specifically for that project.
6. Impersonation warning signs
A communication may be suspicious if it includes:
- Pressure to pay immediately without time to review the scope
- A payment amount that does not match the agreement
- Promises of guaranteed book sales or bestseller status
- Offers to create fake reviews or fake purchases
- Requests to avoid BBC's website or official email channels
- Unexplained personal payment details
- Different identities being used without explanation
- Requests for passwords or banking login information
- Claims that verification is unnecessary
- Threats that an offer or project will disappear if you try to verify it
7. How to verify a message
To verify BBC communication:
- Do not send payment yet if something appears unclear
- Keep the original email or message
- Note the sender's name and email address
- Compare the payment amount with the written agreement
- Check the payment page and link you received
- Take screenshots if necessary
- Use the official Verify Communication page
- Or contact team@brandbuildersconnect.com
- Wait for confirmation before continuing if the communication remains uncertain
8. What to send for verification
When asking BBC to verify a communication, include as much of the following as possible:
- The sender's name
- The sender's email address
- Screenshots of the conversation
- The book or project being discussed
- The payment amount
- The Paystack or payment link
- The service or deliverables being offered
- The date of the communication
- Any invoice or payment page received
9. What not to share
BBC does not need the following information simply to verify communication or process an ordinary campaign payment:
- Your email password
- Your Amazon password
- Your KDP password
- Your Goodreads password
- Your bank login credentials
- Your full card number by email or message
- Your account recovery codes
- Your card PIN
- One time banking authentication codes
If anyone claiming to represent BBC asks for this information through an ordinary outreach or payment conversation, stop and verify the request.
10. Amazon, Goodreads, KDP, and other account access
Authors should keep control of their own accounts.
Many BBC projects do not require direct access to an author's Amazon, KDP, Goodreads, email, or social media account.
When implementation work genuinely requires access to a platform, the access method and reason should be explained as part of the project workflow.
BBC will not ask an author to send a personal password through an ordinary email or outreach conversation merely to prove commitment, reserve a campaign, or make payment.
11. Verification response time
BBC reviews verification requests as soon as reasonably possible.
Response time may depend on the information provided, the representative involved, the communication channel, and whether payment pages or screenshots require additional review.
Until verification is complete, do not send payment or sensitive information if you remain uncertain about the request.
12. Third party platforms
BBC may use third party services and platforms in its operations.
These may include Shopify, Paystack, email providers, social platforms, marketplaces, Amazon, Goodreads, Google services, and other tools relevant to BBC's work.
BBC does not control the security systems, exchange rates, card decisions, outages, verification requirements, platform policies, or account decisions made by those third parties.
Paystack payment pages may display Nigerian Naira even where the commercial agreement was discussed in USD. Your bank or card provider may handle the currency conversion.
When this applies, BBC aims to explain the payment amount and currency context on the relevant payment page.
13. Responsibility limits
BBC can help determine whether a communication, representative, payment request, or payment page appears connected to the company based on the information provided.
BBC cannot guarantee recovery of money voluntarily sent to impersonators, fake accounts, unofficial representatives, or unrelated third parties.
BBC is not responsible for losses caused by knowingly ignoring verification guidance, sending money to unrelated accounts, disclosing credentials to impersonators, or bypassing official verification channels.
Nothing in this section removes rights that may apply to a consumer under applicable law or the policies of their payment provider.
14. Updates to this policy
BBC may update this Communication Verification Policy as its communication systems, payment systems, team structure, verification process, or security practices evolve.
The effective date shown near the beginning of the policy identifies the version currently published on the website.
